The exam
Tennessee licenses electrologists through Tennessee Department of Health — Electrolysis Registry (Board of Examiners in Electrolysis). Candidates sit a written examination accepted by the American Electrology Association (AEA) or the Society of Clinical and Medical Electrologists (SCME), under rules 0540-01. The Board adopts whatever passing score those bodies certify and publishes none of its own; the 75 % in the rule is per section of the practical exam.
Training: 600 hours.
